SRINAGAR: The government on Tuesday established a dedicated helpline/helpdesk which will look after all the issues, grievances, complaints and other matters related to COVID-19 in Kashmir.
The facility was set up on the directions of Advisor to Lieutenant Governor Baseer Ahmad Khan, who is overall in-charge of coronavirus control efforts in Kashmir, in his office which will address all the COVID-19 related matters on priority, an official spokeperson said.
Two officers, Syed Farooq Ahmad (7006776586) and Anil Gupta (9797776541), have been detailed for the helpline/helpdesk which can be reached at 0191-2549353 or [email protected]
The helpline/helpdesk can also be approached for redressal of administrative, collaborative and coordination matters by all the concerned, it added.
Meanwhile, in case of any emergency people can avail free ambulance services 24×7 at their doorsteps by calling on toll-free number 108 while as pregnant women and sick infants can avail free ambulance services by dialling toll-free number 102.
People can also call on toll-free national helpline number 1075; J&K COVID-19 Helpline Numbers 0191- 2549676 (UT level Cell), 0191-2520982, 0191-2674444, 0191-2674115 (For Jammu Division), 0194-2440283 & 0194-2430581 (For Kashmir Division) for support, guidance, and response to health-related queries on Novel Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19).
CMO Pulwama appeals people to avail 102/ 108 ambulance service during Emergencies
Chief Medical Officer, Pulwama has urged the people of the district to avail the benefit of 108 Ambulance Service available 24*7 in the district.
She said it will ensure the delivery of public health care services to the patients at their doorsteps by providing transportation to patients requiring immediate medical care. She added that round the clock transportation service will be provided to the patients requiring urgent medical care, especially critical, accidental victims, pregnant women and sick children.
She further said 102/108 ambulances are fitted with Global Positioning System (GPS) in all the blocks of the district besides 4 Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulances and 1 Advanced life support (ALS) ambulance has already been commissioned for services.
COVID-I9 containment: Helpline for medical emergencies set up in Anantnag
The district administration, Anantnag has put in place a separate institutional mechanism offering requisite assistance and transportation facilities to the patients requiring urgent medical attention including Dialysis, Chemotherapy, Radiotherapy, who are being treated both in government and private health facilities, within and outside the district.
This was stated by the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Anantnag.
Besides, some patients are availing free treatment and drugs through various institutional setups which require effective and timely delivery.
ADC added that though a Control Room is already functional in the district for receiving medical emergency and other distress calls, however considering the situation, it was felt expedient to put in place a separate mechanism for such patients.
Such patients have been asked to contact the Helpline Nos. 9419453872 and 7006035495 and Whatsapp requisite prescription for availing the facility. The transport facility, if required, will only be provided on prior appointment.
However, the arrangement is not for purchase and home delivery of medicines otherwise prohibited under relevant provisions the law in vogue, the ADC added.
Helpline for stranded Kupwara citizens
In order to facilitate citizens of district Kupwara stranded outside the UT, a helpline cum counselling centre has been established by district administration, Kupwara under the supervision of Aamina in the office of ACD, Kupwara with Contact No’s 01955-252257 and 9622427915.
Any person of Kupwara district, who is stranded outside UT, can register his problem either by contacting these phone numbers or by sending SMS message or WhatsApp text.
PULWAMA District Administration sets up helpline for expecting mothers
The District Administration, Pulwama has set up the helpline numbers to facilitate the expecting mothers amid novel Corona virus (Covid-19) to support, guid and respond to health related queries of the pregnant women.
Before visiting hospitals for medical advice or any other emergency, the people have been asked to call helpline numbers 7006130677, 9419297323 and toll free number 108.
Moreover ambulance service {pick and drop} facility will be provided and mothers giving birth to a girl child will be felicitated with baby kits under BBBP Scheme.
