Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Bank Chairman and Managing Director R K Chhibber Saturday held an interaction with a delegation of entrepreneurs associated with High Density apple projects at Bank’s Corporate Headquarters.
Bank’s Executive President Sunil Gupta, Special Secretary to CMD Karanjit Singh and various other officials from the bank were present during the interaction.
The apple entrepreneurs were represented by Faisal Burza from Fruit Master Agro Fresh Pvt Ltd, Mohsin Hassan from Kashmir Developers, Junaid Sidique from HN Agri Services and Faisal Buch from Golden Agri.
Terming the J&K Bank as backbone of the UT’s economy, the entrepreneurs appreciated the Bank’s effort during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Commenting upon the Bank’s role in the economy of the UT, the representatives said that J&K Bank has always been there for the entrepreneurs and continues to do so. The delegation suggested measures to further streamline the process of credit dispensation to High Density Apple Scheme.
The CMD appreciated the role played by the budding entrepreneurs in helping farmers in increasing the quality and quantity of their production. He said that the facilitating role played by the entrepreneurs of High Density Apple and the innovations introduced would enable the growers to take their produce to the next level. The CMD assured the delegation that the bank would ensure to take care of all the suggestions within the purview of the regulatory guidelines. He reiterated that the bank was comfortable with the liquidity saying, “Our liquidity is sufficient enough to keep continuing lending as per the requirements. Our staff has left no stone unturned to provide banking service to the customer even during Covid-19 Pandemic.”
He said that with the help of government, J&K Bank will continue supporting the entrepreneurs.
“Being their partners in growth we want to see our entrepreneurs grow. Bank shall continue to support entrepreneurs in all possible ways,” the CMD said.
