Jammu: Jammu & Kashmir Government on Thursday ordered the constitution of Board of Revenue Revenue which shall be the Chief Controlling Authority regarding all the matters provided in Jammu and
Kashmir Land Revenue Act (Samvat) 1996.
According to an order issued by the General Administration Department Shaleen Kabra will be the Financial Commissioner , Revenue J&K Government will the Chairman of the J&K Revenue Board with Commissioner/ Secretary to Government , Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) department and Rajesh Sharma Custodian General J&K Government as it’s members.
The order further said ” the Board shall be subject t o the superintendence, direction and control of the Government, and shall be the Chief Controlling Authority regarding all the matters provided in Jammu and Kashmir Land Revenue Act (Samvat) 1996″, adding that “Further, the Board shall exercise, perform and discharge powers, functions and duties conferred upon it by or under the Ibid Act or any other law for the time being in force and shall perform all functions entrusted to it by the Government from time t o time”.
